Canoeing The River Bure (3 hours)

Have you ever wanted to try canoeing? Well here’s your chance!

We use The River Bure, located in Norfolk, about 4 miles from Norwich at a location near Horstead Mill. The river is gentle and slow moving, it is sheltered and ideal for novice paddlers. The river meanders through the countryside, past fields and low willow branches.

You don’t need any experience as you will receive canoe coaching on arrival and a practice before we set off, our canoe instructor will also accompany you on your journey.

The session is 3 hours long, which includes the unloaded of canoes, the canoe briefing and paddling on the water. On each day we deliver a morning session from 09:30 and an afternoon session from 13:30.

We provide all of the water sports equipment for you to use; all you need to bring are some snacks, a drink, a complete change of clothing and a towel (just in case).

Archery and Axe Throwing

Join us for 1 ½ hours of target practice. Firstly, try your hand at target archery; find your inner Robin Hood and try to hit the gold; learning the basics of Archery can be so rewarding.

You will have the opportunity for a few practice rounds, with instruction and coaching to improve your aim. After which a tournament or target games will help sort out the winners for the day.

Axe throwing has risen in popularity over the last few years, so included in this session is 30 minutes of throwing axes. It doesn’t take great strength, in fact technique far outweighs throwing them hard.

We use different weights, so anyone above the age of eight can have a go and it is so pleasing to hear the thud of the axe as it sticks in the target.
