Outdoor Pursuits First Aid Course
16hrs Level 3 course
This Outdoor Pursuits 16 hour first aid course is aligned with the institute of outdoor learning (IOL) statement of good practice on Outdoor First Aid at band 3.
The contents of this course will cover primary and secondary care and are adapted to the outdoor world where the emergency services may be harder to access.
The course will have elements indoors and outdoors should the weather permit. The course is an ongoing assessment and training via verbal and practical scenarios with a final written assessment at the end of the course.
It will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations including when and how to move a casualty, major illnesses and injuries, administering CPR and managing an unresponsive casualty
This course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines as per the HSE requirements.

The Outdoor Pursuits First Aid 8-Hour course is an ideal first aid course for outdoor activity instructors, teachers or leaders operating in locations with close access to further support.
The course meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid Training Framework at Band 2.
The course will have elements indoors and outdoors should the weather permit. The course is an ongoing assessment and training via verbal and practical scenarios with a final written assessment at the end of the course.
This course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines as per the HSE requirements.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – Level 3
1 day (6 hours minimum)
The 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) training course is ideal to provide first aiders with the confidence and skills to respond effectively to a workplace first aid emergency.
This course is particularly suited to those nominated as first aiders in low-risk workplaces such as small offices, shops, and call centres.
This course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines as per the HSE requirements.
